This year, Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana is partnering with the Columbus Running Company for the 40th annual Columbus 10K presented by RUNOHIO. As the official charity partner of this year's race, Make-A-Wish will be the beneficiary of all racer fundraising.
Held on Sunday, June 4, 2017, the Columbus 10K will offer runners the unique opportunity to give back while enjoying the beautiful winding roads of the Arena District, the Short North, Victorian Village and the Olentangy trail.
All participants will be provided a free post-race breakfast with pancakes and sausage. Be sure to bring your little athletes to the race, as well, since the Grasshoppers Kids Run is free for all children.
Runners who raise funds for Make-A-Wish while training for their race are a key part of the Columbus 10K commitment to helping grant wishes in our community. They’re called Wish Warriors. The Columbus 10K is the culminating event for the Wish Warriors program. With more than 900 participants, it is a great day to celebrate fitness and raising funds for Make-A-Wish. While registration fees offset the cost of the race, the funds raised by Wish Warriors support the wishes of local children.
