At Thursday's Make-A-Wish Day at Keeneland, the generosity of our event sponsors inspired one race goer to go above and beyond, making an anonymous donation to Make-A-Wish of his winning “Pick 4” ticket worth $26,000. This selfless gift is a reminder to all of us how kindness changes the world and the true impact of the power of a wish.

As guests of honor, the wish families meet the Keeneland jockeys in the paddock, watch their sponsor's race from the winner's circle, and, at the end of each race, the wish kids present the trophy for the race named after their sponsoring equine organization. This year, through sponsors and the support of the community, more than $90,000 was raised for Make-A-Wish!

Our chapter granted its milestone 12,000th wish to brothers Caleb, Elijah and Jacob, who combined their wishes into one wish: to transform their garage into a man cave with areas to match each of their heartfelt interests. The space will accommodate their wheelchairs and will also give the boys a place to relax and spend time with friends.
