The 2017 event raised more than $180,000, enough to grant 22 wishes for kids in northwest Ohio. Research shows that wishes help children battling critical illnesses build the physical and emotional strength needed to fight the illness. Community support is needed, as currently only one out of every two eligible kids get to experience a wish. There are more than 120 kids waiting for wishes in northwest Ohio.
Make-A-Wish relies on the financial support of the local community to grant wishes. For more information on ways to help, visit ohio.wish.org, call 1-877-206-9474, or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at @makeawishohkyin.
About Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.
