Eighteen-year-old Wyatt, who battles polycystic kidney disease, is passionate about music and has been a member of his school band for seven years. He explains, “Band has taught me about self discipline, perseverance and teamwork, and that’s exactly what the drum corps of DCI do. They show how, with these three aspects, you can achieve greatness.”
While at the DCI World Championships, Wyatt got to meet his favorite drum corps, The Cavaliers. The members spent time before their performance talking to Wyatt and even posing for a few pictures. As an added bonus, right before The Cavaliers went onto the field to play, Wyatt’s wish was highlighted by DCI. The lights, sounds, and special recognition during the big event made it a moment that Wyatt will never forget.
During his wish experience, Wyatt not only attended the event and met The Cavaliers, but also had the opportunity to watch the semifinals and finals of the competition. Wyatt’s wish allowed him to see his idols perform, meet people who shared his love for music and, most importantly, create memories that will last a lifetime.
