Performance Automotive Network has been a longstanding proponent of the Make-A-Wish mission. Through a silent auction, live auction and golfer entry fees, the event raised over $135,000 this year to help make wishes come true for local kids battling life-threatening medical conditions.
“We’re honored that the Performance Automotive Network has continuously chosen to support the Make-A-Wish mission through its annual fundraiser,” says Development Officer Ashley Rich. “The golf challenge is a great way to engage the southern Ohio community, and the funds raised through the event help us grant the wishes of even more local kids.”
The Performance Automotive Network golf challenge began in 2004 and has since raised more than $500,000 for Make-A-Wish. Shane Dever, Vice President at Performance Automotive, and Bob Goen, co-host of Warm 98’s Bob and Marianne in the Morning, worked in conjunction to serve as the emcees and live auctioneers for this year’s event.
“We have over 140 children in southern Ohio waiting for their wish to be granted,” says Rich. “Events like this one have a huge impact on the number of lives we can touch through our mission. It’s inspiring to see the community rallying together to make wishes come true.”
