Owensboro, KY (September 10, 2018) – Families and neighbors in Owensboro, Kentucky are gathering this week for a low country boil and bourbon tasting to benefit Make-A-Wish® Ohio Kentucky & Indiana. The 2nd Annual Boilin’ in the Boro event presented by Independence Bank helps raise funds to grant wishes for local kids in Kentucky. The event will be held at Reid’s Orchard in Owensboro.
In addition to the local favorites provided by Steamer Seafood, guests will enjoy a bourbon tasting, live music, and will hear from Brian and Nina Belcher as they share the story of their daughter's wish to visit Walt Disney World® Resorts. They will let guests experience the powerful impact a wish has on a child and their family. Also attending the event will be four (4) wish kids and their families who wished to visit Walt Disney World.
Guests will take part in a live auction with five (5) premier experiences including a Breeder’s Cup Championship package. This featured package includes a private table for four (4) in the Gold Room with private betting windows, a balcony that overlooks the paddock, a prepaid bar tab, and access to live racing on the first, second and third floors of the track.

About Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. There are currently over 300 children in Kentucky who are awaiting their wish. For more details on how to get engaged with our chapter, please visit www.oki.wish.org or follow us on social media @makeawishohkyin.
