Norton Commons selected one charity per house to benefit from the fundraiser, including Make-A-Wish. Through ticket sales and participant votes, the home celebration raised $16,000 to help make wishes come true for local wish kids.
“We were so honored to be chosen again this year to take part in the charity homes celebration," says Development Officer Alana Karl. "Event goers were able to experience our mission firsthand in the Make-A-Wish house and see the valuable impact our work has on the local community and the kids we serve."
Make-A-Wish was also named "Favorite Charity" among the 12 participating charities in the fundraiser. "We have more than 170 children in Kentucky waiting for a wish come true," says Karl. It is inspiring to see the community rally around events like this to help make these wishes come true and we appreciate the support Norton Commons and everyone who came out to the event."
