Four-year-old Trevor had been battling medulloblastoma for two years. His days were filled with doctor’s appointments, trips to the hospital for treatment, and tests. But he never let his brain tumor keep him from doing what he loves most – pretending to work at a construction site with his younger brother, Riley.
When Trevor thought about what he wanted for his wish, he decided he was done pretending – he wanted to play and work on the big trucks and equipment, and be a construction worker for the day, just like his dad.

Local construction companies and labor unions came together to give Trevor and his family an experience they’ll never forget – a day where they could focus on spending time together as a family.
For Trevor and his brother, it was a dream come true, not only getting to be construction workers, but spending time with their dad on and around the equipment and materials he works with every day – just like they’d play in the back yard.
Trevor’s mom remarked after his wish, “After so many bad days, we had a good day that we didn’t want to end.”
His wish gave him the opportunity to go, to see, to do, or to meet anyone he wanted. But at the end of the day, Trevor wanted to escape from his daily routine of dealing with his brain tumor, grow up, and be just like dad.
