Not All Heroes Wear Capes
Be a Wish Hero for children with critical illnesses
5-year-old Kaheem loves superheroes. During his battle with cancer, his favorite superhero movies and toys have helped distract him from countless medical procedures, hospital stays and treatments.
When Kaheem learned he would be granted a wish, he knew he wanted to be a superhero himself. After drinking his superhero elixir and transforming into Super Kaheem, he was given his first clue which led him on various top secret missions. With the help of everyday heroes like first responders, he helped save his city from bad guys and received his very own Super Kaheem action figure. “Mommy, is this a dream?!” he exclaimed. Kaheem’s wish helped him forget about cancer and focus on just being a kid.
Granted wishes give children like Kaheem hope today so they can look forward to tomorrow. In celebration of Make-A-Wish’s 40th anniversary, you can become a Wish Hero for children like him by inspiring friends, family and colleagues to donate $40 each to raise $1,600 for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana.
